Holiness the Dalai Lama Yamantaka Initiation and Public Talk: Long Beach Sports Arena April 20-21, 2011
It is with great joy that Gaden Shartse Thubten Dhargye Ling announces that His Holiness the Dalai Lama will confer the Solitary Hero Yamantaka initiation and give a public talk at the Long Beach Sports Arena, April 20 and 21, 2012. As many of you know, His Holiness was unable to give the teaching last May. However, His Holiness promised at that time to come back as soon as possible to give the initiation and public talk. Recently we received the good news that His Holiness will be back in April 2012 to fulfill his promise. GSTDL feels so fortunate to have the opportunity to host the initiation and public talk. Yamantaka Preliminary Rites April 21 9:00AM-12:00PM Yamantaka Initiation Please be advised that His Holiness is allowing only practicing Buddhists to receive the initiation. One must be able to commit to the bodhisattva and tantric vows, daily Yamantaka practice, and a Yamantaka retreat. Registration will be conducted through GSTDL using a future link on http://www.gstdl.org. Date to be announced. There will be a registration fee of $25 payable at registration, but otherwise the event is free.
Public Talk: (Topic to be announced) April 21, 1:30-3:00PM Tickets will be available through Ticket Master and at the box office of the Long Beach Sports Arena. Date to be announced.
